Why I Moved my Blog Again

Not long ago, I moved my blog over to Bluehost. It seemed like the right step at the time, simple hosting, easy setup, and lots of people recommended it. But soon after, I started hearing horror stories: people losing entire blogs, dealing with constant errors, and running into all the usual corporate nonsense that makes you feel like you don’t really own what you’ve created.
That’s when I realized what I truly wanted: independence.
Ghost gives me that. It’s built to be a fully independent platform where I own and control my content from top to bottom. No middlemen. No corporate oversight. No silent censorship creeping in. Just me, my voice, and my work.
In today’s climate, where social media platforms and corporate media often bend the knee to authoritarian pressures, protecting your content isn’t just about convenience, it’s about principle. I may be a small fish in a very big pond, but my voice matters to me. And I refuse to let it be at the mercy of someone else’s rules or profit motives.
With Ghost, I finally feel like my blog is mine.
