One Week Update on My Mental Health Journey

One Week Update on My Mental Health Journey
Project (20250918042317)

It’s been one week since I made the decision to cut my medication in half. I came off Strattera completely and lowered the dose of my other meds too.

The difference has been striking. My mind feels clearer. I can actually keep up with Jeopardy questions again, catching them quickly and answering before the timer runs out. On the higher doses, it often felt like the words reached me in slow motion, and by the time I processed them, the moment had already passed.

The biggest shift, though, has been in my art. My creativity feels sharper, more intense, and alive in a way I haven’t felt for a long time. It’s as if color and inspiration are flowing more freely, without the same heavy filter over them.

This is only the beginning. In a few weeks, I’ll take another step down , another notch lower. I know this process will have its ups and downs, but for now, I’m feeling grateful to be reconnecting with my mind, my spark, and my voice in new ways.
